Munich, Germany – August 30, 2026 – A wonderful gamescom 2026 concluded on Sunday, and for BBG Entertainment, it was a complete success! Many guests visited the Munich-based publisher’s booth and experienced true retro feelings: They were able to play the classic MANIC MINER® on legendary platforms such as the ZX Spectrum, C64, and Amiga.
The highlight was the world premiere of the new MANIC MINER® version, which will be released for all platforms (Steam, Xbox, Switch, Playstation Windows and Mac) in autumn this year.
The daily contests held in cooperation with partners from EIGHT BIT ESPORTS, provided particularly exciting action. Hundreds of MANIC MINER® mugs, mousepads, and buttons found new owners. Both children and adults had fun competing in various categories.

The original MANIC MINER® was playable on the ZX Spectrum, C64, and Amiga. The absolute highlight was, of course, the new version of MANIC MINER®.
